Huntsville City Schools is proud to announce that Mrs. Emily Elam, Chief Information Officer, has been named the recipient of the 2025 Sally Moore Award, presented at the Alabama Leaders in Educational Technology (ALET) Fall Symposium.

This prestigious award is given annually to an active Alabama ALET member who demonstrates long-term dedication to promoting technology in K-12 education, exhibits extraordinary leadership, and consistently goes above and beyond to support technology both within their district and across the state of Alabama.

Mrs. Elam has made a profound impact on educational technology throughout her career and has remained committed to bridging the gap between technology and instruction. Her collaborative leadership style, forward-thinking vision, and dedication to educator support are leaving a lasting impact on our educators and is also positively impacting student achievement.
