Huntsville City Schools is proud to recognize Mrs. Heather Hall as the 2026 state winner of the coveted Chiquita Marbury Innovative Technology Award in the Instructional Technology Coach category. This prestigious award is sponsored by the Alabama State Department of Education.
With 20 years of service as an educator in Huntsville City Schools, Heather has spent the past several years serving multiple elementary schools as an Innovative Technology Coach, leading meaningful transformation in teaching and learning through purposeful technology integration. Over this past year, she has been instrumental in developing elementary STEM learning labs from the ground up, providing students with hands-on experiences in robotics, coding, 3D printing, and engineering, with a strong focus on schools with the greatest need.
“Heather consistently designs innovative, forward-thinking learning experiences that truly prepare students for the future,” said Dr. Rachel Evans, District STEM Coordinator. “Every lesson is intentionally crafted to build the skills students need for the STEM workforce, ensuring they are not only engaged today but equipped for tomorrow.”
Heather was nominated by colleagues and district leaders who recognized the tremendous impact she has made on both educators and students across the district. They praised her collaborative spirit, leadership, and dedication to helping schools build meaningful, future-focused learning environments.
Looking ahead, Heather will continue this important work in Huntsville City Schools as the full-time STEM Coach at Montview Elementary, made possible through the Driving Possibilities Toyota grant, further expanding access to high-quality, meaningful STEM learning opportunities for students and educators.
Congratulations, Heather! We are proud to celebrate this well-deserved honor.
