Huntsville City Schools is proud to celebrate the third year of its partnership with Toyota Alabama through the Toyota DRIVE Classroom Grant initiative. Funded by the Toyota Sustainability Development Fund, the initiative is supported in collaboration with United Way and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Foundation.
Toyota, with support from the United Way, is investing over $120,000 to fund 41 innovative classroom applications across 10 Huntsville City Schools. With more than 85 applications submitted, this year's initiative highlights the creativity and dedication of HCS educators who are finding new ways to engage students and enrich classroom learning.
Funded projects span a variety of subjects and grade levels, including outdoor STEM classrooms, a districtwide Mission to Mars competition, research-based math manipulatives, mobile STEM kits, living systems investigation labs, binoculars for exploration, student book publishing opportunities, and VEX Robotics. These projects provide hands-on, real-world learning experiences that encourage curiosity, creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Huntsville City Schools extends its sincere appreciation to Toyota, United Way, and the Huntsville/Madison County Chamber Foundation for their continued commitment to our students and teachers. Through this partnership, educators can turn innovative ideas into meaningful learning opportunities that inspire students and help prepare them for future success.
